Job Purpose:

As a Community Management Specialist for Global Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that foster connections within the university’s diverse international stakeholder community. Reporting to the Head of Global Community, you will identify and engage relevant stakeholders to expand the university’s global network, onboard and integrate new members into existing initiatives, and design both online and in-person events to strengthen these relationships. The role includes creating engaging, culturally appropriate digital content, developing newsletters and informational materials for partners and stakeholders, and providing insights into global community trends through data analysis and reporting. By maintaining effective communication and facilitating connections between international and domestic stakeholders, the specialist will enhance collaboration and support the university’s global engagement objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Development:

  • Identify and engage with the relevant stakeholders to expand the university’s global community.
  • Onboard and integrate diverse community members into existing global initiatives, collaborating with the Head of Global Community to develop new programs as needed.

Community Engagement:

  • Design and execute both online and in-person events to strengthen relationships with community members.
  • Maintain effective relationships between the university and key stakeholders through various activations and communications.
  • Facilitate connections between international and domestic stakeholders to foster collaboration.

Digital Content and Communication:

  • Create engaging, culturally appropriate content for various digital channels.
  • Develop newsletters and informational materials for partners and stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Provide insights into global community trends and participation.
  • Prepare reports on global engagement initiatives for university leadership.

Other Duties:

  • Perform all other duties as reasonably directed by the line manager that are commensurate with these functional objectives.

Academic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in international relations, communications, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

Professional Experience:

Essential

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in community building management or international platforms.
  • Proficiency in designing programs and creating content for activation.
  • Experience working in higher education institutions or research organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in community building and stakeholder management work.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills and experience working in diverse environments.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or more additional languages highly desirable.

Preferred

  • Experience in promoting artificial intelligence to communities.
